Tap to pay will revolutionize the number of outlets and stores that use Apple Pay.Įven mom-and-pop stores, small businesses, and individual business owners will now be able to use Apple Pay by simply letting you tap your iPhone to their device. In February 2022, Apple Pay announced a new feature: tap to pay. We mentioned earlier that almost all major US retailers already accept Apple Pay. Lastly, you will need to authenticate each transaction with either Face ID or Touch ID, which ensures complete security for your money. Secondly, Apple does not store your transaction details on your device or their Apple servers. While we won’t bog you down with techie details, your payment information is not being transmitted over the internet or Wi-Fi. Apple Pay is a contactless payment option, which makes it safer for everyone involved, be it the customer or the cashier.Īpple Pay works using something known as Near Fields Communication (NFC) technology. The past few years’ pandemic has raised a new awareness of hygiene in public places. That means you don’t have to enter your card details thrice if you own an iPhone, an iPad, and an Apple Watch. Moreover, the ability to pay anytime, anywhere without carrying your credit and debit cards or cash is a very nice feature.Īpple has also ensured that Apple Pay is integrated seamlessly into all its devices. As long as you have a compatible iOS device, you don’t need to download anything additional. I asked them why they had a poster for it in their window if they don’t have it yet? Another time they told us they have “no control” over the app or what is charged as an excuse to not give a refund for items they refused to give us even though we paid for it! A few other times we got home with our order and items were missing.Apple Pay is already built into your Apple device. Got there and they said they don’t have that item yet. Are you kidding me? Another time we went to the same location and we had ordered an item through the app that was new to their menu. The didn’t care and said it doesn’t match what their screen said do they refused to give us what we paid for. We showed them the order in the app where it clearly said what we paid for. But our local restaurant on multiple occasions has refused to honor the order (that we already paid for through the app) because when we came to pick it up “their screen didn’t say the same thing”. The deals are great, and it’s convenient to use. I think these could be very helpful and make life a bit easier, than having to customize every time nor to punch in a different card numbers at times.īad customer service from local restaurant! Hopefully, in the next version the developers have incorporated these. If the app doesn’t want to give the option of adding multiple sources of payment, there should at least be an Apple Pay option, where customers can choose their preferred card. There is no way to have multiple payment options. I wish I could save the item in favorites and order through click of a button.Ģ. For now, I have to do the customization every single time I order. I customize many of my items, for example, I like Swiss cheese and tomatoes in my chicken sandwich. Currently, one can have only one favorite and that will be the entire order you placed. ![]() A way to favorite all my customized foods. However, I cut down 2 stars because I feel 2 very useful and easily implementable options are missing.ġ. With notification on, I was able to take advantage of these offers. I also like that Jack in the Box provides several discounted items and sometimes even free items in the app. Not all options are intuitive, but it is not hard to figure out either. Otherwise, it’s a decent app, navigation is great. I’m not sure what I’d be tipping for.Īs Jack in the Box needs no introduction, this review is solely about options missing in the current version of the app. ![]() I ordered a $10 meal and paid $4 for delivery and $7 for a service fee. Lastly, I don’t understand why they want a tip for delivery with the service fee being so high. Secondly, the app will prevent you from placing an order if you made too many errors in too short of a time period which has literally prevented me from buying food here just because I typed in some incorrect details. The app automatically removes your card information if something goes wrong with the payment or if you type something in wrong. However, here are some things I would recommend, but didn’t feel were critical enough to cost the review a start from the 5/5. The feature helps a lot in regards to situations where there aren’t freelance delivery drivers(Doordash, Grub Hub, PostMates, UberEats) around. I like that they integrated delivery as well. However, I will say they are doing a good job with their app. I honestly believe almost every other fast food burger joint is better, especially in terms of the quality of the product. ![]() Jack-In-The-Box to me has always been mediocre.
